  1. Hi Ayo,
Fantastic blog post! The SPCA really does help animals get better. It's great you made the blog post informative and detailed. I didn't know about the history of the SPCA. It's great your blogging during lock-down.

Amazing work, Ayo. Keep up the fantastic work. Bye!!!

  2. Kia Ora Ayo. The SPCA is a fantastic charity. A couple of years ago Miss Daly and I and our classes, held a bake sale to help fundraise some money for the SPCA as part of our Inquiry. We also collected and made some items that the animal shelters need to help look after their animals. We then got to deliver everything to the SPCA shelter in Mangere. It is a great place to visit. You could visit it when the lockdown is over if it is something you are interested in. You could also go onto their website www.spca.nz and read about the different ways you can help them. Thank you for blogging and I look forward to reading about what you have been doing at home.

  3. Hi Ayo, thanks for sharing information about the SPCA - they are an organisation that we like to support a lot. Our three boys; Ty, Otto and Cali, are all SPCA cats. We have some awesome reading books at school that the SPCA developed, published and sent out two years ago - they are really interesting for reading to younger kids to make them aware of the needs of animals, I'll show you when we return to school after the lockdown. Mrs Jones has made a fabulous suggestion above about visiting the site to find out different ways we can help the charity. Just a quick question about your blog...had you finished it before you posted it? I had the feeling that you were going to include some more information because you opened the brackets - maybe you can pop back in and edit the post when you have time.
Remember also to visit other students' blogs, and leave a comment where you can. It's a great way for us all to stay connected during this time away from school.

  6. Hi Ayo, thank you for sharing the facts you researched about the SPCA. Some of the facts were ones that I didn't know, like the founder was Henry Bergh or that around 1.5 million animals are euthanized every year. I was very sad when I heard that, but I know iis necessary. Do you have any pets? We used to have cats when our children were young, My favourite cat was a cute black, fluffy cat called Cuddles.
Now we are in term two and doing online distance learning, it would be good if you shared some of the work you have been doing, on your blog. Maybe activities you have enjoyed the most.
Keep up the good work and stay safe and well at home.
