 Weaving

In, through, in and through. Kia ora blogger. Today we did some pretty amazing Christmas decorations, but my favourite one was the weaving. The weaving was my favourite one because it dificult at first but at the end it got easier. Te Waka Ako did a different type of this one is where you had to go in, through, in and through. So this is how we made our our little christmas decoration or gift.

  1. You need 2 paper that looks like half a circle and triangle.
  2. You need scissors
  3. Glitter glue: optional
  4. Sequins: optional
You fold the paper and cut three lines at the bottom. And you do the same for the other paper. The you take one strip in the paper and you put it under one of the the strips then you put that strip on top of one of the strips. And you repeat that pattern with all the other strips. Then when you're done you can decorate your art with sequins and glitter glue if you want.

                  Summer Learning journey

Colour, colour and colour. Kia ora bloggers today I'm going to tell you about the Summer learning journey. The Summer learning journey is a coool programe where the more activiteies you do the more points you earn. And the more points you earn then there are high chancess that you can come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Those three placess get prizes. Te Waka ako has done this in term 3. It was a really cool programe. I really enjoyed the programmne because you got to learn about people you might have never know or heard of. My favorite part about the summer learning journey is the art work. What's your favourite part? The teaser in summer learning journey is where you do defferent activities to know what you'll be doing for the ones where you earn points. For example the one at the bottom is a teaser to show me what will be done for art in the Summer learning journey.

Skateboard

 Skateboarding.

Ouch! At first skateboarding was okay for me. I had lots of fun until it happened. Who else gets to do skateboarding instead of maths? Well I'll tell you who: Waikowhai primary school!! Today we did lots of skateboarding skills. Our teachers were Ben and Laurence. The challenging things were trying not to fall. Some of the skills we learned were: Crab walk. If you don't know what the crab walk is, the crab walk is where you put your one foot on the nose of the skateboard and your one foot on the tail.

Then the nose has to go up then down then it's the tails turn to go up and down. As your doing that you have to walk while you're still on the skateboard!! I know, right? Difficult. The other challenging thing is not crashing into each other because sometimes you feel like you have no control over the skateboard and that's why it's important to focus on where you're going because if you're not, you could get hurt or someone else could get hurt.

Tik Tak is where both your feet are facing one side of the skateboard and you have to lean back and front, And thats when it  . . . happened. Dan, dan daaaan. I fell because I was holding against a pole and accidently slipped and scraped both my elbows and hit my cheek. Then I went to have a drink and I continued doing skateboarding. I still had lots of fun.

I hope you love my blog post and remember to keep trying.

Production

 Production

Aloha bloggers. You'll never guess what theme we did for production!! What we did for production was spectacular, terrific and incredible. Our theme was Jasmine and Aladin, but insted of a monkey we had a cat. A very enthusiqastic cat. We had the production last week on Wednesday, Thursday and friday. Wednesday and Thursday were at night. Friday was during the day.

On Wednesday we had to be at Waikowhai Intermediate at 6:00am and the parents were allowed in at 6:45am on thursday the same thing happened at the same time. On friday 10:00 pm we went to the intermidiate and at 10:45 pm the parent were alowed in. On those three day we did the same play again and even though it the same we all still had alot of fun.

And I'm sure the parents who came to watch enjoyed it to. The production had really good sound effects. All the charecters lines were really good, the timing in for the lines and sound effects were awsome. My favourite part of the production was when the song eye of the tiger came on. I like that song because I remember hearing that song when I was about 5. 2cnd favourite saong is cups.

My 3rd favourite song was respect because thats the song the year 6 danced in. In the production my fist favourite charecter is Persia because my second favourite animal after dogs who is tied with dolpins. My 2nd favourite charecter Jasmine because she was dancing to the song cups. My 3rd favourite charecter is Aladin because he has a cat by his side.

We had to arrive early to get changed and put on face paint. All the soilgers got moustaches including the girls!! My favourite costume was the fish one because they looked a bit funny. My favorite scene was the fish scene. My favourite line was in the fish scene where the the baby fish said bye bye funny fish.

It was sad on friday because this was our last production for the year 6. And when we packed everything up it was even sadder because It looked like there was never a production. But I also knew everybody else enjoyed camoing to the production see thier children/child prefome.

I hope you all enjoed my blog post. Blog you later bloggers.

Basketball

 Basketball 🏀

Molo bloggers. This week we did something really exciting. This week we did basketball! For basketball the moves we learned and the moves I could remember were cross over, scissors, dribbling and behind the back. I'm sure you all know dribbling and if you don't know dribbling is where you bounce the ball and move. Scissors is where you bounce the ball through your legs and while doing that you have to swich your legs like scissors. Cross over is where you bounce the ball in one hand then the other. Behind the back is where you bounce the ball and catch behind your back. Basketball was really fun because of all the games and skills we learned.

I hope you liked my blog. Blog you later blogers.

My comic strip

 COMIC STRIP

Hello all my bloggers. Today I'm gong to be talking about a comic strip I made using Te Reo .

In Te Waka Ako we have been making some comic strips in Maori. My one was about a new girl coming to school and making a friend with unicat. Incase you don't know what a comic strip is, a comic strip is where you have to make your own little comic in a drawing folder. The comic strip has to have 9 or 6  boxes, 2 charecters that you will use in those same boxes and a background in each box. It was really hard to do this because it was my first attempt doing it using Maori language, I hope you will bear with me as I'm really excited to learn a new languge. While we were busy doing our comic strips we were busy googling Kupu and if you go to the bottom it will have kupu my name. And I found out what my name is in moari. My name is Ayo, which simply means Joy in Yoruba, a language spoken in Western Africa, Nigeria and translated in Maori Ayo is koa. Then I went back to my comic strip and had to finish it, it was so fun because I used a google translater, so it helped a bit given it was my first to do a comic strip in Moari. I hope you will all enjoy my blog post.
